On Anniversary of Gulf War, Top Veteran-Focused Law Firm Notes High Priority of Finding GWI Treatments

Persian Gulf Longest War in U.S. History

(91outcomes.com) - On the 21st anniversary of the beginning of the Persian Gulf War, one of the largest veteran-focused law firms in Washington, DC today published a column recognizing the high priority of finding treatments for Gulf War Illness.  GWI is a debilitating, chronic multi-symptom condition that affects at least 250,000 of the 697,000 veterans of the 1991 Gulf War.

The column by Bergmann & Moore, entitled, "Our Longest U.S. War," provides a sobering, by-the-numbers look at the true costs of two decades of U.S combat involvement in the Persian Gulf.

The article concludes:  "Even with action by VA, more needs to be done for the 250,000 Veterans who continue suffering with Gulf War illness.  After 22 years of war in Southwest Asia, the overarching high priority for Gulf War Veterans and their families is finding medical treatments."
