12/19/12
(Odessa)- West Texas lost a man who fought for the rights for all veterans.
According to the Patriot Guard Riders, Vic Sylvester passed away in the Hospice Home in Odessa.
Sylvester served with the Australian Army in Vietnam and then entered the U-S Army and did another tour in Vietnam.
He was a member of the Patriot Guard; member of the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial Board, and President of the Board of Directors of the Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm Association to name a few of the many organizations he helped.
A memorial service will be held after the first of the year.

One, It's Silvester.. not with a Y, two, he served in Vietnam with the US Army, but he served in Korea with the Australian Army. And he passed on the 18th, not the 19. I'm his youngest daughter, I would know. But thanks for the thought.
